Day 8 Great Falls, Montana --> Idaho Falls, Idaho

We left Great Falls about 9:30am and it was 45 degrees. We stopped in Butte, Montana for a lunch break and ate our sandwiches in the McDonald’s play land so John could run around and expend some energy. He loved it; it was his first time playing in a play land like that. It was fun to watch him learn his way around in the maze. We got a call from my cousin Emily who lives in Afton, Wyoming. She read our last blog entry and saw that we were heading to Idaho Falls; she called to tell us that they would like to drive over to meet us for dinner, and it was only an hour and a half drive for them. I was very excited to hear from then and surprised at how close we were to them. When they got here we met them at Snake Bite restaurant. They gave us a hard time about not going over there way to stay the night with them in Wyoming. My aunt Carrie rode along with Emily and Russ, and she offered up my uncle Dave to buy us all dinner, he was working at the time so he doesn’t know yet: hehehe, thanks Dave!! It was yummy. Then we all went back to our hotel to let the kids play before Emily and Russ had to get back on the road to head home. We sat in the lobby for a bit and let the kids run around. It was nice to see them play together. Lauren is 6 months older than John and Brad is a little more than 3 years old. They had fun chasing after each other. John was so tired when we put him down and we didn’t hear a peep, Scott even had the TV on and I was on the computer. He was worn out. We plan on heading into Elko tomorrow. The trip seems to be getting easier, maybe we are just getting used to living out of the car and suitcases.
