The morning was beautiful and the weather was perfect! We had brunch with my peeps from Whole Family Chiropractic at the Amsterdam Café. Scott says we missed you Shannon, (not me though)… J Love ya Cartoon! We missed you too Bianca! Breakfast took forever, but it was nice because it gave us time to visit with each other and say some fond farewells. Heather, how did the Butternut Squash soup turn out?
We finally left Anchorage around 4:30pm-ish. We were delayed at the “poop station.” Scott says we got one stuck sideways… We got that figured out and filled up with fuel and away we went. We stopped in Palmer for a few last minute groceries and a diaper change and snack. We were able to get a few good hours in before Wesley decided we were done for the day. Everyone was in bed early.
We stopped at mile 94.4 of the Glenn Allen Highway at a large pull-off. John was already asleep and Wesley was “starving.” We had some quick dinner and Scott put in a movie.The cat is weathering well as long as she is next to someone (not Wesley). That will pet her nicely and talk to her. She is a little upset with us, as we had to downsize her cat food bowl. Although the bowl is full, she still thinks it needs to be bigger.
We are looking forward to getting some good hours in tomorrow. Maybe even get into Canada. We are taking plenty of pictures and video but have limited internet access so it may be a little slow in getting those uploaded.
Scott hasn't let me drive yet...
