Day 11 Spring Creek, Nevada --> Price, Utah

Left Spring Creek at 10:15am, it was 50 degrees. It will be an easy drive today. We drove by the Great Salt Flats. It always amazes me how flat they really are. Shortly after we passed the salt flats we stopped to have a late lunch with Clinton and Summer and the girls in Tooele, Utah. We met them at a McDonald’s so the kids could play together. It was nice to visit with them and to get updated on their lives. They seem to be doing well and are happy. We left them around 4pm and headed towards Salt Lake Valley; can I just say that Utah has been the worst traffic our entire trip this far, it is horrible! We couldn’t wait to get back on a two way highway. The trip into Price, Utah was a trip down memory lane for me. We stopped in Helper, Utah to see if my old house was still there. It was! We took pictures of it but it was dark so we really couldn’t see it very well. It looks like the people living there have done a lot of work to it. It is the house I lived in while going to Junior and Senior High Schools. It was fun to see it. We made it to Price, Utah around 7pm. We went straight to a restaurant for dinner then to Karen and my dad’s house for the night. Their cat was pleased to see us and welcomed us at the door. The chickens were quietly sleeping in their coupe. We woke up the next morning and took John out to visit the chickens, we let one out of the pen and the others got very jealous. John didn’t really know what to do with the chicken; he was more interested in watching the cat spaz out.
